About me

I spent more than two decades in major-market radio, learning how to talk to people in a way that feels like we're sitting across a table — no script, no safety net. That skill followed me into writing thrillers, producing stories on film, and eventually creating The Thriller Zone, a podcast built on straight talk and genuine curiosity.

My books have taken me into the darker corners of ambition, identity, and the lies we tell ourselves to survive. Whether it’s a Hollywood mystery, a psychological chess match, or a story about a man forced to rebuild his life after a doctor casually changes everything in a two-minute phone call — I write about what drives us when things break.

In 2023, life handed me a different kind of plot twist: a prostate cancer diagnosis that blindsided me, rearranged my priorities, and — in a strange way — sharpened every skill I already had. I wrote Life in Two Columns because men avoid conversations they need, and I wasn’t willing to stay quiet about something that might save a life; maybe yours, maybe someone you love.

These days, I split my time between Lake Tahoe and San Diego. I write. I record. I build stories I care about and let the rest fall away. If you’re here because one of my books found its way to your nightstand, or because someone said, “You should listen to this guy,” thanks for stopping by; I don’t take your time lightly.

If you want to reach out, or collaborate, the contact page is always open. Or you can pick up any of my books — they’ll tell you more about me than this page ever could. ~Cheers!
